Our Religious Exploration (RE) program is an open environment for members and guests to learn. If you are visiting our Congregation for the first time and have questions about the Religious Exploration program please contact the RE Coordinator at UUCharlestonre@gmail.com.

  • Social justice projects
  • Family social activities
  • Older children usually stay with their parents in the 11:00 Service for the first 15 minutes. They leave for their RE Activities after the Story for All Ages.  This helps the children become comfortable with congregational activities and makes them feel part of our community. Children spend about 45 minutes with their teachers every Sunday, working on interactive projects, crafts, games, stories or discussions.

Sources and beliefs are affirmed in the seven UU Principles which we teach in the children’s Rainbow Path Form:

  2. Offer fair and kind treatment to all. (orange)
  3. Yearn to learn throughout life. (yellow)
  4. Grow by exploring ideas and values together. (green)
  5. Believe in our ideas and act on them. (blue)
  6. Insist on peace, freedom and justice for all. (indigo)
  7. Value our interdependence with nature. (violet)
